Creating an account

Learn how to create an account at WineMap

Before you can add any information to the maps you'll first have to register an account at WineMap.org.  The registration process provides us with your contact information so that we may contact you if any issues arise with the information you enter.

We take your privacy seriously.  We will never give anyone else access to your information and will only "bug" you when it's important

Steps to create an account

1. Go to the registration section of WineMap.org
2. Enter in the information requested for each field
   • Fields marked with a red arrow are required
   • Your email address must be vaild (you must be able to check for mail at this address)
   • "Display Name" is the name you want other people to see
   • Your password must be at least 7 characters long
   • For the security code, enter the code of numbers and/or letters in the picture above the field. If you cannot read the security code picture, refresh your browser to load a different security code picture.
3. Once you've entered all your information, click the "register" button at the bottom of the page
4. After you click "register" a verification email is sent to the email address you entered from admin@winemap.org.
5. Go to your emails inbox and open the verification email.  Find the verifcation link (see red arrow below) and click on it or just copy and paste the link into a web browser
6. The link will take you to the sign-in page. Enter the password you chose and you will be logged in to your account.

Congratulations, your account is now created!
